Aged care services provide care to people in their last years, months, and days of life. In a 2022 survey conducted by ARIIA, the Australian aged care workforce nominated palliative care and end of life as a priority topic for the sector. The Knowledge and Implementation Hub team has gathered evidence of best practice, along with learning and practical resources, to support the aged care workforce in delivering safe, high-quality care to older Australians coming to the end of their life.

Australians are living longer and dying older. The Knowledge and Implementation Hub team has created short easy-to-read summaries of the research evidence relating to palliative care and end of life in the aged care context.
